IBD stands for Inflammatory bowel disease, which is a term used to describe conditons that cause severe abdo pain and diarrhea. It is a chronic condition.

What causes IBD?
The cause is unclear, however, it is classed as an autoimmune condition. It has been said that patients may inherit from close relatives.
The main, most common symptoms of IBD is:
Diarrhoea, lasting longer than 4 weeks
Abdominal pain
Melena, Blood/Mucus in feces
Fatigue
losing weight quickly, without trying
Stress
Lack of sleep
Food intolerances
Smoking
Caffeine
Imaging In Diagnosis
Colonoscopy, to examine intestines
endoscopic ultrasound, to check for swelling and ulcers
sigmoidoscopy, to examine the rectum and anus
CT or MRI, to check for signs of an abscess or inflammation
