What is Hypermobility Syndrome?
Hypermobility Syndrome is a spectrum of disorders. The most common is joint hypermobility.
It can cause very flexible joints and pain
It usually affects children and young people
What causes Hypermobility Syndrome?
There are many factors that cause hypermobility syndrome :
Genetics
Ligaments supporting the joints are weak
Lack of collagen
Fatigue
Pain and stiffness in joints and muscles
Sprains and strains
Dislocating joints
Poor balance and co-ordination
Thin, stretchy skin
Bladder and bowel concerns
Limted range of movement
Overextending joints and repetitive exercises
